Job Pick section last updated: September 27, 2026
Job Pick Chrome Extension Privacy
Job Pick helps users collect and review job listings and record whether they applied to or skipped a job. It accesses an open Gmail job alert, a LinkedIn search results page, or a job listing page when the user chooses to import jobs or analyze a listing. It extracts relevant job links and listing details; it does not need to save the complete email message or the user's Gmail address to provide this feature.
Information stored in the browser
Job Pick uses Chrome's local extension storage to keep the user's Gemini API key, job search preferences and AI prompt, imported job details and links, AI fit results, and applied or skipped decisions. This information remains in the browser's extension storage until the user changes or removes it, clears extension data, or uninstalls the extension. Previous analyses may be reused to avoid repeated requests. Do not share your Gemini API key with other people.
AI analysis through Google Gemini
When the user requests AI analysis or generates an AI review prompt, Job Pick sends the information needed for that request to Google's Gemini API. Depending on the action, this can include the user's job search preferences or prompt, job listing text and links, and the user's Gemini API key used to authorize the request. Google processes those requests under its own applicable terms and privacy policy. Job Pick does not send the entire Gmail inbox to Gemini.
Sponsor display and view counts
Job Pick may request sponsor content and record a sponsor view through our website's service. That request may result in normal server logs, including an IP address and request time, and an aggregate view count. This service supports the sponsor block shown in the extension. Sponsor links, donation links, and other external links take the user to third-party sites with their own privacy practices. Job Pick does not collect payment card details through those links.
How Job Pick uses and shares information
Job Pick uses the information above to import and organize jobs, provide the requested AI review, remember user decisions, and operate the sponsor display. Job analysis requests go to Google Gemini as described above. We do not sell extension user data or use job listings or browsing activity for personalized advertising, credit decisions, or lending.
Your choices and questions
You can remove saved extension information by clearing the extension's data or uninstalling it. You can stop using AI analysis by removing your Gemini API key from Job Pick's settings. To ask about information held by our website or its sponsor service, or to request access or deletion where applicable, please use the contact information on our website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or data practices change. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated.
Job Pick's use of information received through Google services follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use and share that information only to provide or improve the extension's user-facing job review features, maintain their security and reliability, or as otherwise permitted by that policy.
